Our Goal at the Hinterland Physio Group is to help you Be You. We do this by delivering personalised, high quality physiotherapy services to the Sunshine Coast and Hinterland communities.
What does Be You mean?
Be You is simply whatever makes you YOU. If You is playing with your children or your grandchildren, or You is playing sport, going to the gym, running, or if You is going for walks on the weekend, playing with the dog, or keeping your garden looking tip top, we want to help you Be You.
Who is the Hinterland Physio Group?
Previously we had been operating as Palmwoods Physiotherapy for 10+ years from our Palmwoods Clinic location. In 2023 we expanded, with the goal of reaching and helping more people and more communities throughout our region. To better reflect our vision, in 2023 we rebranded to the Hinterland Physio Group, and now proudly bring our physiotherapy services to Palmwoods, Woombye, Kenilworth and Kilkivan.
The Hinterland Physio Group is a locally owned and operated company with a passion for providing for and looking after the communities we are a part of and work within.
We base our business around our 5 core values:
We are a growing team with 6 senior physiotherapists, a massage therapist, and a wonderful administration team, all working toward the same goal of helping you Be You.
The Locals 4 Locals Campaign is our way of giving back to our local communities.
Each quarter we select 3 local charities or organisations to promote and donate to, and we get our patients involved in the process.
Our patients are provided with a token at their appointment, and they can put that token towards which organisation they would like to see the money go to.
At the end of the quarter all 3 organisations will receive a donation tiered off the results of the patient’s tokens.
If you, your club, or your organisation are interested in being involved, simply send us an email and we will be in touch.
Physiotherapy is a healthcare discipline focused on enhancing physical function and relieving pain. It plays a crucial role in arthritis management by offering tailored exercises, manual therapy and education. These interventions help improve joint mobility, reduce pain and enhance overall quality of life for individuals living with arthritis.
The timeline for improvements in arthritis symptoms through physiotherapy varies from person to person. While some individuals may experience relief after just a few sessions, it generally takes several weeks to months to achieve significant and lasting improvements. Consistency and adherence to recommended exercises and lifestyle modifications are key factors in determining the speed and degree of improvement. Your physiotherapist will work closely with you to set realistic expectations and monitor your progress throughout your treatment journey.
During a physiotherapy session, you can anticipate a comprehensive assessment of your condition, the development of a personalised treatment plan, which may include exercises, manual therapy and education, as well as regular progress assessments to ensure your treatment remains tailored to your evolving needs.
Physiotherapy can be highly beneficial for sports injuries in several ways. Firstly, it may provide effective pain relief through techniques like manual therapy and modalities. Secondly, physiotherapists can accurately assess and diagnose the injury’s extent, allowing for a targeted treatment plan. They also play a crucial role in rehabilitation by helping athletes regain strength, flexibility and range of motion through tailored exercises. Additionally, physiotherapy focuses on injury prevention, providing athletes with strategies to reduce the risk of future injuries.
Physiotherapy can help manage a range of disorders and disabilities, including musculoskeletal injuries, neurological conditions like stroke or Parkinson’s disease, chronic pain syndromes, sports injuries, respiratory conditions such as asthma, cardiac rehabilitation, post-surgical recovery and balance disorders among others.
Common symptoms indicating a need for women’s health physiotherapy include urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, pain during intercourse, pelvic organ prolapse, prenatal or postnatal musculoskeletal issues, diastasis recti and difficulty with bladder or bowel control.
